Key Learning Objectives

By the end of the session, participants will be able to:

 

  • ​​Understand Legal Requirements and Responsibilities: Gain a clear understanding of the legal obligations and responsibilities that leaders have in managing psychosocial hazards.

  • Understand Mental Health and Mentally Healthy Workplaces: Learn the importance of mental health, the concept of a mentally healthy workplace, and how psychosocial hazards integrate into these frameworks. 

  • Learn Techniques for Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment: Explore practical techniques for identifying psychosocial hazards and assessing risks within their teams.
     

  • Identify Controls for Hazards: Understand different types of controls that can be implemented to eliminate and minimise psychosocial hazards or mitigate their impact.

  • Adjust Daily Behaviours: Recognise how daily leader behaviours and actions can be adjusted to contribute to a mentally healthy workplace in their leadership capacity

Join us for a hands-on, interactive workshop tailored specifically for leaders in the mining and resources sector. This session goes beyond theory - it's all about sharing insights to assist you to spot, understand, and effectively manage psychosocial risks in your team. 

  

You'll learn how to foster a psychologically healthy workplace - while also diving into the crucial distinction between psychosocial health and safety and psychological safety. Why does the difference matter? Because understanding it can be the game-changer in creating a culture where people truly thrive.
