Glenn Swift is a seasoned leader in the construction and mining industry, with 33 years of experience spanning technical, operational, and leadership roles. As the Regional General Manager for Komatsu Australia’s Western Region, he leads with a passion for innovation, customer engagement, and workforce development.


Glenn’s career with Komatsu spans 28 years over two terms, beginning in 1992. Starting as a qualified mechanic, he has worked across nearly every aspect of the business, from hands-on technical roles to senior leadership in sales and operations. His deep industry knowledge, combined with qualifications in Business, an MBA, and ongoing studies in a Master’s in Psychology, reflects his commitment to continuous learning and strategic leadership.

A strong advocate for skills development, Glenn takes immense pride in Komatsu’s Apprenticeship Program and the Komatsu Training Academy in WA, ensuring the next generation of industry professionals are equipped for success. He believes that investing in people is key to the long-term sustainability of the business.


Beyond his professional life, Glenn is an adventure enthusiast, preferring to travel on two wheels or under sail. He is married with three growing boys and values the balance between family, career, and personal growth. Proud to be part of the Komatsu family, Glenn finds great fulfillment in working alongside his team and engaging with customers in the field, driving operational excellence and long-term industry partnerships.
