Honouring Culture, Strengthening Leadership, and Driving Change

We’re proud to support the 2025 Women in Mining & Resources Summit and honoured to be named the official charity partner for this year’s event. It’s a privilege to stand alongside so many inspiring women and industry leaders who are committed to real inclusion and change.

IWIMRA (Indigenous Women in Mining and Resources Australia) was founded to create stronger pathways, networks, and support Aboriginal and Torres strait islands women working across the mining and resources sector. Our goal is to increase representation and leadership by empowering First Nations women to thrive in culturally safe and inclusive workplaces.

The introduction of a dedicated indigenous women in mining and resources day is a powerful step forward. The theme: Honouring Culture, Strengthening Leadership, and Driving Change deeply resonates with our values. We believe that lasting change begins with listening to community, leading with cultural integrity and creating space for indigenous voces to be heard, respected and championed.

IWIMRA is proud to see indigenous perspective meaning woven through the program from fireside chats and leadership panels to yarning circles and mentoring opportunities. These spaces share lived experience, knowledge and wisdom are critical to build an industry where everyone belongs and can succeed.

We look forward to connecting, learning and creating lasting impact together.

With respect,

Karina Lynch and Christina Coleman
